Being in Control

Managing the thoughts and emotions to focus on what is in the athletes’ control.



Athletes will learn and be able to identify the difference between 'controllables' and 'uncontrollables' in their environment as it relates to their athletic performance. A focus on positive self-talk; strategies to challenge negative thoughts and beliefs; and the implementation of mental reminders to refocus the mind prior to competition.
